Students invited to AIESEC information session
The College of Business is inviting students to attend an online session to provide more in-depth information about AIESEC in Ohio to prospective members. The information session will be held Sept. 9 at 6 p.m.
The AIESEC OU chapter is a student organization in the College of Business, and offers students an opportunity to gain competency in cross-cultural leadership and communication.
AIESEC is an international youth-run organization partnered with the United Nations. Their goal is to make the world a better place by developing leadership in youth, by sending students abroad on volunteer and paid internship opportunities to enhance their cross-cultural understanding.
As a member of AIESEC in Ohio, students will have the opportunity to develop professionally, gain an international network, attend conferences, and explore their passions.
The member job description is flexible so that members can enjoy their experience as much as possible and focus on what they want to develop in themselves. Members also have the opportunity to attend conferences throughout the year, in which they get to connect with other AIESEC members from the local region, the country and often international delegates.
Members are expected to attend weekly meetings held every Wednesday from 8 to 9 p.m., along with also attending some smaller events throughout the week which focus on letting more people know about the opportunities that AIESEC provides.
