U.S. News & World Report ranked Ohio University the #1 Best Value Public University in Ohio and 30th in the nation. We're proud of this ranking, because we are continuously striving to make college more affordable and accessible, while maintaining the high quality and value of an OHIO education.

The OHIO Guarantee® ensures that costs are predictable and that scholarships and financial aid packages hold their value while students work toward a degree. Additional efforts at increasing affordability include joining the Open Textbook network and partnering with Top Hat to make open, license-free educational materials available to students.

The OHIO Guarantee+

The first and most comprehensive in the state, the OHIO Guarantee® has enabled students (Ohio residents and nonresidents alike) to pay a single fixed rate that covers tuition, room and meal plan, and fees for four years. With the OHIO Guarantee+, the University is expanding on its commitment to transparency, predictability and an affordable college experience.

OHIO will partner with students to design a unique plan to graduation and a shared commitment that they will graduate on-time and on-plan. If the University fails to offer the necessary courses or otherwise does not fulfill the commitments mutually agreed upon in the student’s OHIO Guarantee+ Graduation Plan, they will make it right, including — if necessary — course substitution or covering the tuition and fees of any required additional courses.

In addition, OHIO Guarantee+ Lifelong Benefits build on alumni career services already offered to ensure career and leadership coaching and access to our Bobcat Mentor Network for life, as well as expanded alumni-only scholarships for Bobcats who wish to return to continue their education.
