Theater Division presents ‘The Government Inspector,’ by Nikolai Gogol

The Theater Division in the School of Dance, Film and Theater is proud to present the third production of the 2017–2018 season, “The Government Inspector,” by Nikolai Gogol, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher, directed by Dennis Lee Delaney and presented in the Elizabeth Evans Baker Theater, March 1–3 and 6–9.
When the locals in a small Russian hamlet learn that an undercover government inspector is coming for a surprise visit, an unfortunate case of mistaken identity sends the whole village spiraling into a world of panic and greed.
An all-student cast includes Brian Epperson, Shon Middlebrooks, Kristin Conrad, Evie Weir, Tim Ashby, Taylor Neely, Damian George, Morgan Parsons, Blake Dava, Carlie Meyers, Nick Wilson, Camila Benencia, Jack Benken, Daisy Bentley, Sophia Vangessel and Abby McNulty.
This production is directed by Delaney, head of the Professional Director Training Program at Ohio University.
Performances will be held at 8 p.m. March 1–3 and 6–9, and 2 p.m. March 3, in The Elizabeth Evans Baker Theater located in Kantner Hall, with talkbacks following the performances on March 3 and 7.

Through Arts for OHIO, tickets are free for students with a valid OHIO student ID. Regular tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for other students and seniors.
