Student Enhancement Awards provide $131,187 in funding to 27 students
The Ohio University Student Enhancement Awards program has provided 27 students with a total of $131,187 in funding for their original research, scholarship and creative work this spring.
The Student Enhancement Awards are funded by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Creative Activity and administered by the Council for Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity, which is appointed by Faculty Senate.
The program received 89 proposals with a total funding request of $481,543. Students may request up to $6,000 per proposal.

Erin Clark (graduate student, Visual Communications; mentor: Stan Alost) received $5,700 for Western Cree Perspectives on Traditional Food Practices, Ethnobotany and Food Sovereignty.
Theresa Egan (graduate student, Psychology; mentor: Brian Wymbs) received $3,474 for Examining Elementary School Teacher Preferences for School-based Intervention Characteristics and Implementation Supports for Youth with Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
Tess Herman (graduate student, Journalism; mentor: Bernhard Debatin) received $5,700 for Biogas Community Film.
Nazgol Taghinejad Kashani (graduate student, Film; mentor: Rafal Sokolowski) received $5,700 for May She Rest in Peace.
