Air Force ROTC Cadet to attend the US Air Force Academy Exchange Program for the Fall 2018 semester
Ohio University Air Force ROTC Cadet Luke Hamlin was selected to attend the US Air Force Academy Exchange Program for the Fall 2018 semester. He is one of six cadets selected nationwide to attend this educational broadening opportunity.
The purpose of the program is to enhance the professionalism and development of cadets from each commissioning source through a learning exchange experience.
A sophomore at OHIO, Luke is pursuing a degree in chemical engineering. He has an impressive 3.86 grade point average and scored a 100% on his Air Force Fitness Assessment. From nearby Lancaster, Luke is attending OHIO on an Air Force ROTC scholarship.
Not only does Luke excel physically and academically; but he is also very active in the local community and on campus. For example, he is the Ohio University Boxing Club vice president, has assisted with several 5K run fundraisers, helped raise over $2.5K towards treatment for kids with Muscular Dystrophy, volunteered at a local elementary school, and more.
Luke is a truly remarkable cadet with endless motivation and shows no sign of slowing down. He continues to grow and develop as a leader in our program and will undoubtedly excel at the US Air Force Academy.
Congratulations, Luke!
