Some memorable moments from OHIO’s 2018 Graduate Commencement (PHOTOS)
It was a day of pomp and circumstance May 4 on the Athens Campus as Ohio University celebrated the crowning moment in the academic journey of approximately 900 master’s and doctoral students – the 2018 Graduate Commencement ceremony.
The day was filled with smiles and a few tears as members of the Class of 2018 reflected on their achievements and were welcomed into the family of OHIO alumni. Coverage of the ceremony is available here.

Duane Nellis delivers remarks at his first Graduate Commencement since becoming OHIO’s 21st president in June 2017, telling the Class of 2018: “Whatever your path, each of you has brought unique characteristics and special talents to Ohio University, and you have made our University richer by your presence.”
