Southern Campus Horse Lovers Camp teaches kids more than just riding [VIDEO]

Students in the Equine Studies program at Ohio University’s Southern Campus get to put what they’ve learned into practice every summer, thanks to the annual “Horse Lovers Camp” for youth.

The weeklong day camp is for children in grades 1-6 and teaches a varied curriculum. Participants learn animal care, proper horse grooming, riding and personal development concepts like communication and resilience.

The Horse Lovers Camp is part of the summer youth offerings of the Southern Campus. It is held at the Ohio Horse Park in Franklin Furnace, Ohio.
