iCUE Spotlight: Sept. 21-27, 2018

OHIO Farmer's Market

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 | Howard Park, 48 E. Union

OHIO Farmer's Market connects students with the local farmers and artist around our area. Vendors stop by each week to bring by fresh produce, art, food, sweets, and much more.

Active Shooter Training

3 - 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 | Baker University Center 

One goal of this training is to encourage and promote this discussion but to also help you to be more prepared should an active shooter incident occur. To register email wyatt@ohio.edu  

Theater: Made in America Madness

11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 | Hahne Theater in Kantner Hall, 19 College Street

This week's show produced by M.F.A. playwright, Inna Tsyrlin, asks the questions: What is America? What does it and should it mean to be American? What are American values and influences? Where does America sit with the rest of the world?

Being Black in College - OMSAR Academic Excellence Series

Discussions on how to achieve academic excellence in a predominantly white university by successfully navigating different experiences on campus.

Faculty Recital—Lucas Rego Borges, Trombone

8 – 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 | Recital Hall, Glidden Hall, 3 Health Center Drive

Lucas Rego Borges has toured with a variety of chamber groups, orchestras, and popular ensembles though out South, Central and North Americas as well as performed under many renowned conductors including Kurt Masur, Luis Biava, Eugene Corporon and Giancarlo Guerrero. 

Fall Career and Internship Fair

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 | Baker University Center Ballroom, 1 Park Place

Employers representing a diverse array of industries travel from across the country to recruit Ohio University students and alumni.

"Screening, Assessment and Referral for Substance Abuse in the Primary Care Setting"

6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 | Grosvenor Hall, 16 W. Green Drive

This free educational session will review the current trends in the research on adolescent substance abuse and addiction, specifically focusing on identifying common drugs of abuse and evidenced based screening tools developed for primary care.

Pat Davidson Retirement Reception

3:30 – 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 | Baker University Center 

After 32 years of service, Pat Davidson will retire on Sept. 28.
