The purpose of the Non-bargaining Classified Employee of the Month award is to acknowledge and recognize those who are setting the standards for excellence and innovation at Ohio University.
This recognition is Classified Senate’s way of awarding those employees who have shown outstanding individual achievement and performance of their jobs, while inspiring and supporting the achievement of others. Criteria include:
- Positive attitude and serving as a role model
- Productivity and commitment to quality
- Initiative and taking on additional responsibilities.
The August 2018 recipient is Adam Grimm, a financial support specialist, who was nominated by Ruth Blickle, an administrative associate for Air Force ROTC and Army ROTC. These are her comments about Grimm:
- "Adam’s patience, understanding, and most of all, humor has helped me through the new OBI process as well as the new Affordability and Efficiency process."
- "To Adam’s chagrin, he usually gets the luck of the draw when I call. He is always pleasant and has a smile on his face. Not once has he lost his patience or made me feel like I was bothering him."
- "As a “casual user,” I call more than I would like for clarification of policies and/or procedures. I’ve found that if Adam doesn’t know the answer to my question or have a solution to my problem, he will talk to others until he can give me the correct answer or advice."
- "He is truly a great representative of Finance customer care, the Finance Department and Ohio University."
Grimm’s supervisor Jennifer Campbell added, “Adam is a very dedicated, hardworking and valued employee. He provides exceptional customer service and has received multiple kudos from internal and external customers. This is a well-deserved award.”
