“365 Days/365 Plays,” by Suzan-Lori Parks, presented in the Elizabeth Evans Baker Theater, Oct. 25–27 and Oct. 30–Nov. 3 at 8 p.m.
Ohio University’s Theater Division in the School of Dance, Film and Theater is proud to present the second production of the 2018–2019 season, “365 Days/365 Plays,” by Suzan-Lori Parks, directed by Visiting Assistant Professor Daniel C. Dennis and Assistant Professor Rebecca VerNooy.
The play will be presented Oct. 25 through 27 and Oct. 30 through Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. in the Elizabeth Evans Baker Theater, located in Kantner Hall.
The production will present a selection of playlets chosen from Parks’ extraordinary collection of plays she wrote every day for a year, an idea she came up with to stay present and committed to the artistic process every single day. In her words, “It became a daily meditation, a daily prayer celebrating the rich strange process of a writing life.”
Dennis and VerNooy, both faculty in the Division of Theater, direct a student cast: Summer Finley, Aidan Tracy, Nate Perez, Stephanie Carrillo, Nick Slaughter, Morgan Austin, Philip Matthews, Manda Neal, DeVanté Malone, Janai Lashon, Connor Daugherty, Erik Armstong, Chiara Ridpath and Camila Benencia Courreges.
A talkback following the performance on Nov. 2.
