Global Cooling, Inc., a TechGROWTH Ohio portfolio company, named a finalist for state award

Which Ohio business startup has fostered the best company culture? With your vote, the winner could already be residing in Southeastern Ohio.

Global Cooling, Inc., a TechGROWTH Ohio portfolio company generating jobs and building the Athens-area’s economy, has been announced as one of six late-stage company finalists for TechOhio’s inaugural “Best Startup Culture” award.

The award is an audience-driven contest between companies across the state of Ohio; in an exciting twist, the community, not TechOhio, will ultimately determine the winner by casting their vote online.

“Company culture has always been important, but perhaps more so today than ever before,” TechOhio noted within a recent announcement regarding the contest. “With the growth of the startup economy and a workforce now made up by more millennials than any other group, company culture has taken center stage in attracting, developing and retaining top talent.”

Two “Best Startup Culture” winners — one early-stage and one late-stage — will be awarded coverage across TechOhio-controlled properties, including an article and high-quality video featuring the winning company.

The voting phase, which is open to anyone, concludes Nov. 16, 2018.
