Take a look at the upcoming events on the official OHIO Calendar of University Events. Anyone with an active OHIO ID can log in and complete the form to add events that are sponsored by any OHIO planning unit or registered student organization.

June Diabetes Research Seminar
Friday, June 21, 3:30 - 5 p.m. Grosvenor West 111, Athens, OH 45780
"The Diabetes Institute Three-Year Strategic Plan & Research Incentives" will be presented by Calvin James, PhD, interim director of the Diabetes Institute. The business meeting is at 3 p.m. and will feature an update from Jessica Wingett, Office of Research and Grants, on the Digital Measures system.
Public Telescope Nights at Ohio University Observatory
Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22, 9-11 p.m. The Observatory on The Ridges, Athens, OH 45701
Telescope nights are hosted by the Ohio University Astronomy faculty and students. Visitors may see lunar craters, Saturn's rings, Jupiter, Mars, star clusters, or distant galaxies, depending on the time of year and sky conditions. Telescope nights are free and open to the public.

Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter & Evacuate (ALiCE). This training is designed to encourage and promote discussion about active shooter situations and will help participants learn how to be more prepared should an active shooter incident occur. Test your readiness, learn about options and gain confidence in your abilities to react by attending one of the following sessions. Email wyatt@ohio.edu to register. Space is limited.
MUSIC: Under the Elms (outdoor music series)
Wednesday, June 26, 7-9 p.m. College Green, Athens Campus
To commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Athens Community Music School, the Communiversity Band will present a concert featuring child-friendly favorites, including music from the Harry Potter films, Yellow Submarine, Moana and The Lion King. The Athens Community Music School will also offer special events surrounding this concert, including an instrument petting zoo. The participants of the annual Summer Band Camp will also perform as part of the Communiversity Band.
Athens County Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Clinic
Wednesday, June 26, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Grosvenor Hall 055 Heritage Community Clinic, 16 West Green Drive, Athens OH 45701
Breast and cervical cancer screenings, breast health education and patient navigation will be provided by the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Community Health Program. This clinic will be in collaboration with OhioHealth Mobile Mammography to provide same-day mammograms. Appointments are required. Interested persons should call 1-800-844-2654 or 740-593-2432 to schedule an appointment.
