Accessible OHIO: How to refer people for accessible transportation options

At Ohio University, we embrace that we have a collective responsibility to create the opportunity for people with disabilities to have an accessible and inclusive experience whether a student, employee, visitor, or community member.

There are many simple ways we can all contribute to the development and maintenance of an accessible and inclusive environment. Accessible OHIO: It’s What We Do highlights a series of actions that any of us may take – no expertise required! The Office for University Accessibility can be reached at www.ohio.edu/accessibility or 740-593-2620.

Where do I refer students, employees and campus visitors for accessible transportation options?

On the Athens campus, OHIO Transportation & Parking Services offers a variety of options and all campus transportation vehicles are accessible. CATS daily shuttles are open to the public while the CATS Late Night requires an Ohio University ID to ride. Information regarding CATS can be found on the Parking and Transportation website and questions may be referred there.

CATCAB is a door-to-door service for individuals with disabilities. Those with temporary injuries should contact Parking and Transportation directly while those with long-term needs should be referred to the Office for University Accessibility and Student Accessibility Services to become eligible for CATCAB.
