The Bobcat Store’s 2019 commemorative ornament celebrates the 90th anniversary of OHIO’s beloved Peden Stadium and pays tribute to the decades of school spirit that date back to November 1929 when the stadium hosted its first game. Whether you have memories as a fan in the bleachers, a member of the Marching 110 or an athlete on the field, the 2019 commemorative OHIO ornament beckons all Bobcats to “Stand Up and Cheer.”

Bring this iconic memento of town and gown to your home for the holidays with two new ornaments handcrafted by Athens Block LLC, a local art studio that has been using the Athens Block imprint for 22 years. The ornaments are available in a miniature Athens Block design featuring paw prints and the state of Ohio with Athens and paw imprints.
Athens Block LLC was founded by OHIO alumnus James Robinson, MFA ’99, who is also an artist at the business.
“The holidays are often a time that encourages people to think about tradition,” Robinson said. “The ornament reflects the amazing story behind Ohio’s historic brick manufacturing.”
