Ohio University will host its annual Women’s Achievement Dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 in the Walter Hall Rotunda.

The dinner is an opportunity for the University to highlight the successes of women in a variety of roles and to lift up those doing work in areas that may go unrecognized as "women's work" or more feminized labor.
During the dinner, several women will receive Achievement Awards that are designed to honor women on campus, broadly defined.
The Women’s Center is accepting nominations in 11 award categories for any person who identifies as female. All nominees should be OHIO full- or part-time employees, with the only exception being the nominees for the Outstanding Alumnae award.
Tickets to the dinner will be sold during the first weeks of spring semester. Individual tickets cost $30 each, while organizations interested in sponsoring the dinner can purchase a sponsorship for $250, which includes two dinner tickets.
The awards categories are:
- Above and Beyond Award: This award is intended for women employed by Ohio University who have gone above and beyond their job descriptions in regards to significant impact on their department, committee membership(s), their objectives, peers, colleagues, and students.
- Breaking Barriers Award: This award is intended for women with demonstrated success who are working in male-dominated fields.
- Caregiver Award: This award is meant to recognize those women who have the primary care-giving role for children or elders.
- Hidden Gem Award: This award is intended for those in positions that may not get all of the glamour, but who have contributed to Ohio University so that their department, division, etc., would not function without them.
- Lasting Action Award: This award is intended for women who have taken sustainable action to improve the quality of life for women at Ohio University.
- Making a Second Home Award: This award is intended for women who have filled familial roles on campus and have helped students adjust to college life.
- Outstanding Alumnae: This award recognizes women who have graduated from Ohio University and have made significant contributions to any of the following: their field of work, their family, current students at Ohio University, and/or the advancement of women.
- Outstanding Community Service Award: This award is intended for women who are engaged with their local community.
- Outstanding Female Mentor: This can include mentoring that occurs in a structured or an official capacity.
- Social Justice in the Classroom: This award is given to a female educator who is dedicated to broadening students' knowledge on issues of diversity.
- Social Justice in the Workplace: This award is given to a female who is dedicated to broadening employee AND/OR colleagues knowledge on issues of diversity outside of the Division of Diversity and Inclusion.
