Applications for visiting professorship at Chubu University being accepted

Ohio University’s Chubu University Relations Committee (CRC) is currently accepting applications for the 2021 Kohei Miura Visiting Professorship, named in honor of the founder of Chubu University.

Established in 1973, the Kohei Miura Visiting Professorship allows for an Ohio University faculty member to spend a semester in residence at Chubu University in Kasugai City, Japan. The successful applicant for 2021 will be an Ohio University Group 1 faculty member who is able to be in residence at Chubu University either during the spring semester (early April through June of 2021) or the fall semester (late September through December of 2021). Round-trip transportation, housing, and a modest monthly expense reimbursement will be provided.

Kohei Miura Visiting Professors are expected to engage in an active program of scholarship that may include activities such as engaging in research activities, giving guest presentations in classes and seminars, conducting independent study programs with students and/or professors, participating in outreach activities, and acting as consultants in areas of expertise.
