OHIO named top pick for "One Stop Shop Venues" by Unique Venues

Ohio University was recently selected by Unique Venues as a top One Stop Shop Venue.

Unique Venues describes a One Stop Shop Venue as a place that offers the convenience of one contact, contract and price for meetings and events. Top picks are also stress-free and offer excellent service with regard to coordinating spaces, providing technology and ordering culinary. 

Ohio University was selected along with 15 other venues, including Western University in London, Ontario, Canada and Yale University in New Haven, Conn. 

This award is a testament to the hard work the Conference and Event Services staff accomplish every day, according to Vice President for Student Affairs Jason Pina. 

“This group has been together for less than two years, so this recognition really showcases how well they are able to provide exemplary service,” Pina said. “I am so proud of the successes they have accomplished already and I know the team will continue to excel.”

Conference and Event Services offers a variety of venues for rent, from large venues, such as the Convocation Center and Baker University Center Ballroom, to smaller venues, such as Living Learning Center Spaces and Jefferson Hall Spaces, along with recreational venues. 

“This recognition highlights the diligent work that Conference and Event Services does every day in order to better serve our University community and guests,” President M. Duane Nellis said. 

Unique Venues also created a page about OHIO, listing the types of events that are welcomed as well as the accommodations and amenities OHIO offers, including 24-hour check-in, A/V tech staff, pet-friendly, eco-friendly, car charging stations and more.
