OHIO programs recognized in Best Graduate School rankings by U.S. News & World Report

Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs is ranked among the top 20 percent of the nation’s public affairs graduate schools in the latest graduate school rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

OHIO tied for 58th among public affairs graduate schools on the latest list, up 10 places from last year.

Voinovich School Dean Mark Weinberg attributed the School’s success to its focus on applied learning, involving students in applied research to develop and implement real-world solutions.

“The Voinovich School is a new type of professional college that integrates multidisciplinary faculty, professionals, students and alumni to work with governments, nonprofits and businesses to build strong and vibrant communities,” Weinberg said. “The School’s efforts have been highly successful in entrepreneurial development, water quality, education, health, child welfare, substance abuse prevention and waste reduction/environmental remediation regionally and across Ohio.”

OHIO also increased its ranking among best education graduate schools to a tie for 105th, a tie for 32nd in fine arts, and a tie for eighth in printmaking, while retaining its third-place ranking in ceramics.
