Thom Stevenson to host second Remote Teaching Series talk April 20

The Patton College of Education is featuring the second session in its new Remote Teaching Series, Monday, April 20, noon to 1 p.m. As we navigate the challenges of online instruction, these hour-long online presentations will discuss innovations in teaching and engaging students with technology.

This session features Thom Stevenson, assistant professor of instruction, Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism, Department of Human and Consumer Sciences. He will present, “Virtual Learning Approaches From a Mutually Safe Distance.” This series is open to Ohio University and the community. Each session will be hosted on Microsoft Teams and will be recorded for those who cannot participate live.

Monday, May 18, noon - 1 p.m. “Creating and using instructional videos, screencasts, and podcasts to increase instructor presence, increase student interaction, and expedite feedback in online courses,” by Dr. Jesse Strycker, assistant professor, Innovative Learning Design & Technology, Department of Educational Studies.
