Employees invited to virtual town hall meeting to answer questions about returning to campus this fall

Ohio University faculty and staff are invited to a virtual town hall meeting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, to learn about the University’s plans for bringing employees and students back to campus in the fall.

During the one-hour meeting, faculty and staff can learn more about how Ohio University, in conjunction with local health officials, is preparing for a safe resumption of on-campus activities. Frequently asked employee questions will be addressed.

The panel, to be moderated by Chief Facilities Officer Steve Wood, will feature Ohio University administrators President M. Duane Nellis, Executive Vice President and Provost Elizabeth Sayrs, and Executive Dean of Regional Higher Education Nicole Pennington, as well as Dr. James Gaskell, health commissioner and medical director of the Athens City-County Health Department.

Faculty and staff may submit questions in advance of the event for panel response. Questions not covered during the town hall meeting will be addressed at www.ohio.edu/coronavirus. Employees who cannot attend will be able to access a recording of the town hall after the event.

For priority consideration for response during the event, please submit questions through this link by 10 a.m. on Monday, June 29.

Employees may view the town hall meeting through Microsoft Teams. Viewers will be required to login with their Ohio ID.
