Two OHIO Online MBA students named as Business Leaders of Tomorrow
Two Ohio University Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) students have been named 2020 Business Leaders of Tomorrow by Online MBA Report. Ryan Bernarduci and Sydney Winnenberg were nominated for the recognition by Dr. William Young, professor and director of the Online MBA and Online Master of Business Analytics programs.
Online MBA Report requested schools ranked in their 2020 Top 50 Online MBA Programs to nominate MBA candidates as representatives of their program, in the hopes of recognizing hardworking students and the programs.
Bernarduci is expected to graduate in 2020 from OHIO’s Online MBA program with a concentration in business analytics. He has more than 15 years of experience in human resources, process improvement, and data science within state government and higher education.
“Ryan has excelled in our Online Master of Business Administration program at Ohio University. It is clear that Ryan is highly motivated and has a strong passion for education,” Young said in Bernarduci’s nomination. “We have been impressed with Ryan’s drive and determination to further his career through educational opportunities. Ryan’s vision, professionalism, and work ethic make him an ideal Business Leader of Tomorrow.”
Bernarduci hopes to advance into a higher-level leadership role in the Division of University Human Resources at NC State University after his graduation. He also hopes to pursue a Master of Business Analytics, also at OHIO.
“My experience in the Online MBA program has been rewarding. I found that each course, regardless of my existing knowledge on the topic, was well-delivered and expanded on my existing professional experience. I believe that my overall experience in the program has been valuable in expanding my professional knowledge,” Bernarduci said of his experience in the program in the application.
Winnenberg is expected to graduate in 2021 from OHIO’s Online MBA program with a concentration in operations and supply chain management. While completing her degree, she is also serving full time in the U.S. Army as an engineering officer.
“In addition to her service as an engineering officer, she has also served as a platoon leader in the Army as well as an aerospace medical technician in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. We have been impressed with Sydney’s discipline, performance, and professionalism in our program. Sydney’s selflessness, dedication, and character make her an ideal Business Leader of Tomorrow,” Young said in Winnenberg’s nomination. “We wish nothing but the best for Sydney and we would also like to thank her for her service.”
After earning her MBA, Winnenberg plans to continue serving as an active duty engineering officer in the U.S. Army, with her next career milestone serving as a company commander within the engineer regiment.
“The challenge of completing the online degree while working full time has been a rewarding investment in my future and I look forward to challenging careers where I can apply my new skills in the future,” Winnenberg said in her application. “Every professor has been approachable, knowledgeable, and willing to work with their students’ busy home and work lives. OHIO’s admission team was prompt in answering my questions and helpful in determining which MBA concentration would best fit me. Ohio University has made my distance learning experience feasible and enjoyable.”
OHIO’s College of Business Online MBA program offers eight concentrations to help students reach their professional goals. The program is comprehensive, but also strives to be flexible to fit the student’s schedule best.
