OHIO students invited to attend first virtual global opportunities fair

Ohio University students interested in learning more about study away experiences are invited to attend the first virtual Global Opportunities Fair. The annual fair is traditionally one day, but this year will feature an array of virtual info sessions starting on Monday, Oct. 19 and running through Friday, Oct. 23.

Students can expect to learn about 80+ different OHIO, affiliate, and virtual global opportunities, as well as tips for funding these experiences. A return student panel will give fair attendees the opportunity to ask past travelers questions about their experiences. Other sessions will highlight a variety of global programs and study abroad providers, as well as health and safety procedures for OHIO student travelers. Click here for a complete schedule of events.

“Now is a great time for students to start planning their global experience. From study abroad and domestic experiences to virtual international internships, a world of opportunities is waiting. The first ever virtual Global Opportunities Fair is an ideal way to start planning a future experience,” said Catherine Marshall, director of the Office of Global Opportunities.

The fall 2020 Global Opportunities Fair will utilize two different platforms: Luna Fairs, a virtual study abroad fair platform, and Microsoft Teams. Students who register to attend will be able to visit virtual booths for future study away experiences and can access the live information sessions by using the corresponding link in the schedule of events.
