Ohio University Online MBA ranked first in Ohio by Poets&Quants
Ohio University’s Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program has ranked first in the state of Ohio and #36 in the United States by Poets&Quants, a leading resource for complete coverage of graduate business education, in its 2021 ranking of best online MBA programs.
Poets&Quants gathers information and data from universities and alumni across the United States for consideration in its rankings, placing equal weight on three main factors to compile the rankings: admissions standards, academic experience and career outcomes. OHIO’s Online MBA also ranked #19 overall for career outcomes.
“This is a great recognition for the College of Business and the Online MBA Program as the online market continues to grow,” OHIO President M. Duane Nellis said. “This program continues to excel and help professionals gain fundamental knowledge and learn crucial skills that are needed to succeed.”
OHIO’s nationally-ranked College of Business offers the highly recognized Online MBA program. The program offers eight concentrations to help students reach their personalized professional goals, in a way that is comprehensive of material but also flexible to the student’s schedule.
“When this program began in 2012, we knew then that we wanted to deliver an incredible learning experience for our students that would help them develop crucial professional skills that can advance their careers while also being convenient for the busy professionals they are,” College of Business Dean Hugh Sherman said. “The Online MBA program continues to be nationally recognized and eight years later, we are still delivering on the experience that we set out to accomplish.”
The Online MBA program continues to show prominence. In 2020, the Online MBA program was ranked in a tie for 109th out of 300 programs by U.S. News and World Report and two Online MBA students were named Business Leaders of Tomorrow.
“We have worked hard to meet and exceed our students’ expectations in our Online MBA program and I firmly believe that every decision we make provides the best student-centered experience that we can offer,” said Dr. William “Bill” Young, O’Bleness associate professor and director of the Online MBA and Online Master of Business Analytics programs. “We are consistently noted for the quality of education and our value. I’m very proud of our established Online MBA and all of our students, faculty, staff and alumni that contribute to its success.”
OHIO’s College of Business also offers a Professional MBA program, which is a blend of virtual classes and in-person residencies located on the Dublin campus, a One-Year MBA program in Athens and several other graduate business degree and certificate programs that are offered in online, hybrid and on-campus formats.
