Applications open for OHIO student trustee position

There is still time for interested students to apply for the position of student trustee and serve on the Ohio University Board of Trustees. Serving as the student trustee provides an opportunity to represent student voices in the University decision-making process, as this position serves as the liaison between the student population and the University Board of Trustees.

Applications close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021.

In addition to providing support and a voice to the rest of the student body, this role will give the student valuable transferable post-graduation experiences and is an excellent addition to any resume no matter what the student’s major or career interests are. This student will also gain great interviewing experience through the process of applying, through two initial interviews in addition to an interview with the governor’s staff.

The student trustee will serve in this position for two years, which is plenty of time to establish concrete relationships with University professionals as well as build a network beyond Ohio University.

Students of any major are welcome to apply, but they must be an Ohio resident and have at least two years left as a student at OHIO. Questions can be directed to Elizabeth Lilly at el507816@ohio.edu. The application is open through 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 12, 2021.
