Nominations sought for 2021 MAC Outstanding Faculty Award
Ohio University is seeking nominations for the 2021 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Outstanding Faculty Award for Student Success.
The MAC Outstanding Faculty Award for Student Success recognizes one full-time faculty member nominee from each MAC institution who has shown a dedication to student success. The MAC also honors one nominee who has gone above and beyond in their dedication to their students as the overall winner of the Outstanding Faculty Award for Student Success.
This is the second year for the award. College of Arts and Sciences professor Dr. Sarah Wyatt was the inaugural Ohio University winner.
The award is open to any full-time faculty, both tenure-track and instructional, who are engaged with undergraduate or graduate students and demonstrate a commitment to student success and inclusion. The faculty member should also have appreciation for the MAC Core Values, including academic achievement, commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity, fiscal responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and student-athlete well-being.
Nominations should include a 500-word statement from the nominee addressing the criteria, a current vita (limit three pages including the most relevant experience related to the award criteria), and three letters of support with at least one being from a student and at least one from a dean, director or chair.
Nominations are due Monday, Feb. 1, and can be submitted to Associate Provost for Faculty and Academic Planning Howard Dewald at dewald@ohio.edu.
The 2021 MAC Outstanding Faculty Award for Student Success recipient will be announced on March 13, during the MAC Basketball Championship.
