OHIO EATS provides safe, timely food option for students

This spring semester, Ohio University Culinary Services will give students an easy option to access food safely with OHIO EATS Meals.

OHIO EATS is a mobile ordering application that students can use to order affordable meals efficiently and safely, allowing them to be able to socially distance and keep healthy practices up. OHIO EATS Meals can be ordered and then picked up at locations across campus.

“OHIO EATS is an easy way that students can connect with on-campus cafes, markets and dining options when they want to order to go,” Associate Vice President for Auxiliaries Gwyn Scott said. “We understand that this is a stressful time, and we want to make sure we give students flexibility when getting food while also prioritizing their health and safety by minimizing contact.”

Students can order OHIO EATS Meals by using the OHIO EATS app. The spring semester OHIO EATS Meals pick up locations and hours include:

  • Boyd Market – starting Sunday, Jan. 24 – noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • The Front Room Coffeehouse – noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Shively Grab N’ Go – noon to 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Students can use the OHIO EATS app to look over menu selections and to place orders.  Accepted forms of payment include all major credit cards, Bobcat Cash and flex points. Additionally, students may use their traditional or flex meal plans to pay for OHIO EATS Meals.
