Students, faculty and staff on all campuses can schedule regular asymptomatic tests

OHIO’s new COVID-19 asymptomatic testing program with Vault Health is officially up and running for all campuses. Students on all OHIO campuses can now schedule their required asymptomatic tests through Vault Health. Faculty and staff on all campuses who have opted to test regularly can now schedule their tests as well.

Vault utilizes a painless, saliva-based PCR test. With a sensitivity and specificity rate of more than 99 percent, the Vault test is a one of the most accurate tests available.

On the Athens campus, all students who are required to test based on their on-campus presence spring semester can utilize an online scheduler to schedule recurring testing appointments. On-campus students are required to test weekly, and off-campus students are required to test every other week. Detailed information on when and how to schedule those tests, including a link to the online scheduler and testing center hours, is available here.

Regional and extension campus students are receiving emails this week from COVID Operations with links and instructions for ordering, scheduling and taking their required biweekly at-home Vault COVID-19 tests. Faculty and staff on regional and extension campuses who opted to participate in regular COVID-19 testing also received emails with information on how to do the same.

Additionally, on all campuses, some students have been identified as participating in high-risk learning activities and will be required to test on a weekly basis.

All OHIO students with an on-campus presence are required to test as part of the Presidential Health Directives. Students who do not comply with testing requirements will be restricted from accessing campus buildings and may face disciplinary action.

Any OHIO employee or student who is not experiencing symptoms but would like an asymptomatic test can use this online scheduler to schedule a test on the Athens campus at the Vault Health testing location at the Ohio University Golf and Tennis center. Submit this form if you're on a regional or extension campus and would like to request a Vault at-home test.

If you have not received an email from COVID Operations asking you to schedule your tests but believe that you meet testing requirements based on your on-campus presence, please email COVID Operations.

The Vault Health COVID-19 asymptomatic testing program described above is for identifying asymptomatic carriers of the virus. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or believe you have been exposed, DO NOT take the Vault test. Instead, follow the OHIO COVID-19 Protocol: Positive, Symptomatic or Exposed.
