Real Talk About Big Questions panel to take place Oct. 5

OHIO’s Division of Diversity and Inclusion, in partnership with the Center for Campus and Community Engagement, will host a virtual Real Talk About Big Questions event on Oct. 5 from noon until 1:30 p.m.

The event will explore the question, “How will we create a culture of respect across differences at OHIO?,” and include a panel featuring panelists including Ohio University President Dr. Hugh Sherman, Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion Dr. Gigi Secuban, Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Jenny Hall-Jones, and representatives from Student Senate and Graduate Student Senate.

The panelists will discuss their ideas on creating a culture of respect at OHIO. After the panel discussion, participants will break into small groups to discuss ideas for expanding the conversation at OHIO and in our surrounding communities on enhancing inclusivity and focus specifically on ways to expanded the incorporation of the campus-wide expectations for engaging across differences, presented in the Make Respect Visible campaign launched this fall.

Campus and local community members interested in joining the conversation can register here.

The Real Talk About Big Questions series, organized by the Division of Diversity and Inclusion, provides programming that promotes dialogue across difference on campus.
