Thanksgiving Basket Brigade set to gather donations

Are you looking for an opportunity to give back to fellow Bobcats this fall? In preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, the Ohio University Well-Being and Recreation (UWAR)’s Well-Being work team has organized a Thanksgiving Basket Brigade.

Donation drop-off points will be located in Ping Center and various other UWAR facilities. 

Nonperishable donations accepted include, but are not limited to: 

• Peanut butter
• Jelly
• Cereal
• Canned fruit
• Canned vegetables
• Canned soup
• Chicken, beef or vegetable stocks or broths
• Pasta noodles
• Boxed meals
• Boxed side dishes
• Canned meat
• Canned beans
• Rice, quinoa or other grains
• Dried fruit
• Shelf stable milk or milk substitutes

Food items will be collected from Monday, Nov. 1, to Wednesday, Nov. 17, and all donations will be delivered to Cat’s Cupboard located in Baker University Center on Thursday, Nov. 18.
