Your new Dean of Students
Change is in the air and with it we welcome Kathy Fahl as your interim Dean of Students. Kathy joined Ohio University in 2018 as an Assistant Dean who oversaw the creation of Bobcats Helping Bobcats — a program supporting students experiencing emergencies that may impact their ability to be successful in college.
Leading the way in research and innovation
OHIO has joined the highest level of research institutions in the country by earning the R1 Classification (very high research activity) in the latest Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.

Student housing contracts are now available! To select a room, you will need to complete a Second Year Student Contract and submit a $200 housing prepayment by Feb. 23 at 4 p.m.

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) can happen at times of the year when there is less sunlight. OHIO provides numerous mental health resources to help you develop coping skills, find a counselor and build helpful connections.
Public Health Updates
Report boosters
Individuals who have recieved a COVID-19 booster can avoid a five-day quarantine if exposed to the virus.
BinaxNOW tests
Students, faculty and staff who use Abbot BinaxNOW COVID-19 self-tests can use the free NAVICA app to quickly and easily report the results to OHIO.
Dining options
OHIO residential students who will be staying in isolation or quarantine housing have several dining options.
When not to test
Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 90 days should not participate in asymptomatic testing through VaultHealth or OHIO's CVS testing center.
