Spend your spring break with Outdoor Pursuits
Ohio University students are invited to spend Spring Break exploring all that nature has to offer on one of Outdoor Pursuits’ fun and exciting journeys.
On Saturday, March 5 through Saturday, March 12, Outdoor Pursuits will be leading backpacking and canoeing trips across the country.
Outdoor Pursuits will be leading a backpacking and camping trip along the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina. Participants will get to hike the oldest long-distance trail in the United States. Throughout the duration of the trip, participants will also learn how to backcountry cook, camp and navigate the trail while forming new relationships with other Bobcats.
Also taking place is a women’s canoe trip down the Suwannee River. Participants will road-trip to Florida while stopping at various campsites along the way. Upon arrival, participants will canoe down the river and camp in the backcountry for a stunning Spring Break adventure.
Registration for each trip is $450 and includes equipment, food, transportation and instructors. Registration and additional information can be found online at RecShop.ohio.edu. Both trips are for students only. Registration for each trip closes on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
