Mayors' Partnership for Progress applauds investment in Appalachian Ohio
The Mayors’ Partnership for Progress (MPP) is thanking the Ohio General Assembly for its support of House Bill 377, which enacts Gov. Mike DeWine’s proposed Ohio BUILDS (Broadband, Utilities, and Infrastructure for Local Development Success) investment in Appalachian Ohio.
The Mayors’ Partnership for Progress is extremely grateful for Gov. DeWine’s leadership, and also for our lawmakers’ support in his proposal. Our Appalachian communities are thrilled to begin initiating transformational yet sustainable change in our communities, the lives of our children and families, and the economic health of our businesses.
The MPP is grateful for Gov. DeWine’s ongoing commitment to partnering with Ohio’s local communities to build a stronger Ohio. These funds are a reflection of the administration’s commitment to bettering our communities through locally driven projects. By investing in our communities, improving community health, and preparing our workforce, this bill will transform our region and economy. We look forward to working with the Ohio Department of Development, the Governor’s Office of Appalachia, and the Local Development Districts to realize the full potential of the state’s investment over the next several years.
