OHIO community invited to May 1 event to honor President Sherman
All members of the Ohio University community are invited to a special celebration to honor President Hugh Sherman on Monday, May 1.
The celebration will be held from 3-5 p.m. in the Baker University Center Ballroom and will feature light refreshments, games and a special performance.
Ohio University’s 22nd President, Dr. Sherman will conclude his two-year term as president at the end of June.
The May 1 event is an opportunity for all students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members to celebrate Sherman for his leadership and dedication to Ohio University during his time as president, as well as his long tenure as a Bobcat.
President Sherman first joined Ohio University in 1995 as an assistant professor of management. From 2007 - 2021, he served as dean of Ohio University’s College of Business and as the Corlett Chair of Strategy and Senior Economic Policy Fellow in the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service.
