OHIO alumna Ciara Crinion named head coach of US Under 15 Women’s Youth National Team
US Soccer has appointed Ohio University graduate Ciara Crinion as the new full-time head coach of the US Under 15 Women’s Youth National Team.
“Ciara has been rising through the ranks of the college game and we know she will contribute greatly to the players’ experiences in this important age group at the start of our National Team pathway” said Kate Markgraph, US Women’s National Team general manager.
Crinion comes to US Soccer after more than 10 years of coaching college soccer. She holds a US Soccer “A” Coaching License as well as a Talent Scout License. Since 2017, she has scouted and run Talent ID Centers for US Soccer and also served as an assistant with the U-20 WYNT. She recently served as Head Coach at Seton Hall and previously served as an assistant women’s coach at the University of Hartford. As a player, she was a part of the Ireland U-17 and U-19 Women’s National Teams and played college soccer at Central Connecticut State.
Crinion earned her master’s degree in soccer coaching education at Ohio University.
“Ciara was an outstanding student and excelled in our clinical field sessions during her two years at OHIO. We are excited for Ciara as she takes on this new coaching opportunity with US Soccer and the U-15 WYNT,” said Dr. David Carr, former master’s degree program coordinator in OHIO's Patton College of Education.
