OHIO Ready Staff program relaunched to assist university departments

The OHIO Business Service Center is excited to announce that the OHIO Ready Staff program has been relaunched.

The OHIO Ready Staff program was originally launched in December 2016 to help fill temporary staffing gaps across the University. During COVID, the program was placed on hiatus, but due to demand has now been relaunched. OHIO Ready Staff provide temporary administrative assistance and purchasing services in departments who are short-staffed, need coverage during a leave, or need extra help during a department’s busy season.

The OHIO Business Service Center welcomed two new employees to staff the program in October, Robyn Mason and Tina Tseng, who have been rapidly learning and acclimating to OHIO’s systems, processes, and culture. All staff hired into, or placed through, the OHIO Ready Staff program are trained, full-time Ohio University employees. They come prepared to assist departments having been trained in OHIO processes and policies as well as software and systems, including BobcatBUY, Concur, Microsoft Office, and more.

OHIO Ready Staff employees are equipped to support travel itineraries, calendar management, customer service, clerical needs, purchasing, and additional administrative responsibilities. Mason and Tseng will be trained and ready to support departments in mid-November.

The program is open to all University departments on the Athens campus, and departments are billed at an hourly rate for the staffing service. Staffing assignments may vary in duration and can be part-time to full-time in the host departments.
