Information for Ohio University offices about upcoming state of Ohio minimum wage increase

Effective January 1, 2024, the minimum wage in the state of Ohio for non-tipped employees will increase to $10.45 per hour (up $0.35 from current State rate of $10.10) and for tipped employees the minimum wage will be $5.25 per hour (up $0.20 from the current rate of $5.05).

Ohio University's current wage for hourly student employees, including federal work study and PACE, continues at $11.00 per hour. 

Ohio University departments do not need to adjust employees’ pay rate to the new state minimum wage rate in WorkForce.
