Celebrating Women Leaders On and Off the Court

The Ohio University Women’s Center, the Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) Program, and OHIO Athletics are currently accepting nominations for student leaders who have led initiatives in the domains of inclusive excellence and championed gender equity from all perspectives across our campuses.

To recognize the inclusive excellence and in celebration of National Girls and Women in Sport Day (NGWSD), Ohio University will be hosting the 13th annual event, “Celebrating Women: Leaders On and Off the Court.” NGWSD is a national celebration that acknowledges individuals committed to advancing equitable access for everyone in sports.

To celebrate these student leaders, an on-court recognition ceremony will be held during the halftime of the OHIO Women’s Basketball game on Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. The OHIO Women’s Basketball Team will take on Buffalo at the Convocation Center that evening.
