University community asked to provide input by March 8.
On Monday, Feb. 19, the Ohio University community received updates from members of the Dynamic Strategy work groups regarding the emerging themes for each of the four Dynamic Strategies – “Learn,” “Discover,” “Engage” and “Work.”
The event, hosted in the Walter Hall Rotunda, attracted over 300 members of the OHIO community, both in person and online. It provided an opportunity for members of the University community to learn more about OHIO’s Dynamic Strategy process, a collaborative effort that will develop a shared set of goals to help guide the University’s work over the next five years.

During the information session, the co-chairs of each working group provided updates on the community feedback and suggestion that had been gathered thus far and outlined some of the emerging themes from the OHIO community. The ideas shared only represented the first draft of ideas from the committee chairs, with additions and changes expected to follow after more community feedback.
Dynamic Strategy Co-chairs Scott Titsworth, dean of the Scripps College of Communication, and Char Miller, executive director of the School of Nursing in the College of Health Sciences and Professions, introduced each of the four working groups and highlighted their collaborative approach to campus engagement and information gathering.
Additionally, they reiterated their desire to continue to receive feedback from the University community before they develop and share their final recommendations with the Ohio University Board of Trustees in June.
Each of the four work groups has until April 19 to finalize their work, and they look forward to further engaging the OHIO community about their audacious ideas in the coming weeks.
