Ohio University School of Nursing: 2023 NCLEX Scores Point to Program Strength
OHIO’s College of Health Sciences and Professions School of Nursing is thrilled to announce outstanding pass rates for its Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS-N) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs on the 2023 National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
Exceptional performance demonstrated
The AAS-N program achieved an impressive 92.63 percent pass rate, while the BSN program demonstrated an excellent 98.5 percent pass rate on the 2023 NCLEX-RN. These significant achievements underscore the diligence of our students, faculty, and staff who collaborate tirelessly to uphold the highest educational standards and equip graduates with the knowledge and skills for success in patient-centered care.
“Our innovative and comprehensive nursing programs ensure our students are practice ready. At every step of the process, we make sure they have the necessary skills and can demonstrate them,” said College of Health Sciences and Professions Dean McCarthy. “When it comes to the NCLEX we prepare them for that in the classroom, but their success is also a reflection of the rigor of all aspects of our program."

Surpassing both national and state averages, OHIO's School of Nursing consistently delivers strong results on the NCLEX-RN exam. The 2023 national pass rate stood at 88.56 percent, while the state of Ohio's pass rate was 86.73 percent. This highlights the school’s unwavering commitment to producing highly skilled and capable nursing professionals who deliver safe and efficient care.
