OHIO students invited to apply for the Margaret Boyd Scholars Program

First year students at Ohio University are invited to apply for the Margaret Boyd Scholars Program.

The Margaret Boyd Scholars Program provides diverse undergraduate students with intentional experiences which build skills and encourage self-reflection. The program cultivates curious scholars who pursue knowledge, delight in discovery, champion equity and engage in community to advance female scholarship.

The Margaret Boyd Scholars Program is open to students from all colleges and majors. Scholars are encouraged to pursue other interests, including study abroad, athletics, and involvement in campus and community organizations.

Students can apply for the Margaret Boyd Scholars Program here.

Named in honor of Margaret Boyd, Ohio University's first female graduate [of the class of 1873], the program is a collaboration between the Division of Student Affairs, the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, and University College.

Information sessions about the program have been held during the fall semester, and the next session will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, beginning at 3 p.m. in the Women’s Center in the Baker University Center.

The deadline to apply is Oct. 15.
