OHIO Chillicothe seeks nominations for distinguished alumni award

Ohio University Chillicothe is seeking nominations for the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award, presented to Ohio University Chillicothe alumni who are making a difference as leaders in the community.

The Ohio University Chillicothe Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes outstanding alumni who have made an impact on the campus and in the community. Recipients may exemplify excellence through service to the University, philanthropic support, recognition in their professional field, or service to the greater Ross County community.

Nominations are open through March 14 and may be submitted by faculty, staff, alumni and the community at large.

Last year’s awardees were Ben Karst, a financial advisor and former educator, and William Presson, a solutions engineer at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Karst has been an exemplary community leader, dedicating his time, talent, and resources to give back to Chillicothe through active involvement in organizations such as EPIC (Entrepreneurs and Professionals Investing in Chillicothe), the Chamber of Commerce, and the Grange. In his spare time, Presson is deeply committed to drug prevention and education for Ross County youth through his involvement with The Buck Fifty, a non-profit organization in Chillicothe.

The Campus Relations Committee will select an award recipient who will be recognized at Ohio University Chillicothe’s Spring Graduation Recognition Ceremony on May 1, 2025.
