The Zanesville Campus Library is thrilled to host an engaging storytime event featuring local author Kate Hoefler on April 1, at 5:30 p.m. in Herrold Hall at Ohio University Zanesville. Attendees of all ages will have the opportunity to hear Hoefler read her newest children’s book, “The Couch in the Yard,” and participate in family-friendly activities.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to celebrate literacy and creativity together,” said Heather Sands, manager of Campus Communications and External Relations at OHIO Zanesville. “We can’t wait to welcome Kate Hoefler to share her latest book and connect with families through storytelling, crafts, and fun.”

Hoefler, the library support specialist for Ohio University Zanesville and Zane State College, has been writing children’s books for a decade. Her debut picture book, “Real Cowboys,” won the Friends of American Writers Chicago Award in Juvenile Literature. Several of her subsequent works have been recognized as Ohioana Award Finalists, and she is the first three-time Floyd’s Pick Honor author.
