OHIO students invited to sign up for Meal with a Mentor program

Ohio University's Office of Signature Academic Experiences is excited to share the launch of the Meal with a Mentor program.

Meal with a Mentor is a program created to strengthen connections between students and alumni with similar academic and/or industry interests. This unique event brings together four students and one alumnus to meet over dinner at Latitude 39, Ohio University’s student-run restaurant.

The dinners are facilitated by a student ambassador, last approximately two hours and provide an opportunity for alumni to share their experiences in a casual environment. The cost of all meals is covered by the Office of Signature Academic Experiences in partnership with the Alumni Association.

Three dinners have already been hosted, and the feedback has been very positive.

“Well run and would absolutely participate again,” said one student who attended.

Another student commented on how helpful it was to talk with the alumnus.

”Rusty was able to give us a perspective of the law that isn't always shown,” the student said. “He was very transparent and he gave us lots of good advice on how to go forward with our legal careers and our future.”
