Spring 2025 Commencement update

Ohio University's Spring undergraduate afternoon commencement ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, will be moved from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., due to adjustments to the event schedule.

OHIO wants to ensure every student, and their family and friends, have a celebratory experience at commencement. To accomplish that, this year, we will be adding a formal recessional to the end of the ceremony. Additionally, this adjustment allows ample time for guests attending the morning ceremony to depart the Convocation Center before guests for the afternoon ceremony arrive, allowing for a smoother process for those attending.

The colleges graduating at the 9:30 a.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 3, will be:

• College of Arts and Sciences
• Scripps College of Communication
• Patton College of Education
• University College
• Honors Tutorial College

The colleges graduating at the 4 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 3, will be:

• College of Business
• College of Health Sciences and Professions
• Russ College of Engineering and Technology
• Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts
