WOUB Public Media wins 10 awards at 46th Annual Telly Awards

WOUB Public Media received 10 awards at the 46th Annual Telly Awards.

Ohio University students from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and the School of Media Arts and Studies in the Scripps College of Communication contributed to the winning entries.

The Telly Awards event honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, production companies. With more than 13,000 entries from top video and television content producers from across the globe, winners were chosen by The Telly Awards Judging Council.

“Our industry is experimenting with new technologies like never before, shaping truly compelling stories to draw attention to some of the world’s most pressing issues,” shares Telly Awards Managing Director Amanda Needham. “The Telly Awards is uniquely positioned to meet the industry where it’s actually making work, be that on television or TikTok.” 

It is a tremendous honor to win a Telly Award, and it showcases the outstanding work done every day by WOUB Public Media and the Ohio University students who work there.

“We are thrilled to have our students' work recognized by the Telly Awards,” said WOUB News Editor-in-Chief Atish Baidya. “To have their work honored from more than 13,000 entries from around the world is amazing. Now more than ever, they play a key role in the service we provide to the audience in our region.”
