International Education Week 2025 to focus on Global Workforce Readiness
Ohio University will celebrate International Education Week (IEW) from Nov. 13–21, 2025, with a campus-wide focus on this year’s theme: Global Workforce Readiness.
This theme underscores the University’s commitment to preparing students for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
Global workforce readiness means equipping OHIO students with the cross-cultural understanding, language proficiency and global awareness necessary to thrive in diverse professional settings—whether in Ohio, across the United States, or around the world. It also reflects Ohio University’s leadership in integrating global learning into the student experience, ensuring that every Bobcat develops the knowledge, skills and mindsets needed to navigate and lead within a rapidly changing global economy.
During IEW, academic colleges, departments and student organizations are encouraged to coordinate events and activities that highlight their international engagement and connect to the theme of global workforce readiness. The week features research presentations, internship opportunities, cultural events and alumni discussions – highlighting the many ways global education at OHIO prepares students for personal and professional success.
