OHIO faculty invited to participate in Mentor Leaders Learning Together Faculty Learning Community

Ohio University will offer the Mentor Leaders Faculty Learning Community (ML-FLC) in spring of 2026 to provide training and support for any full-time OHIO faculty interested in serving as formal or informal faculty mentors to other faculty. 

The six-part workshop series is designed to provide OHIO faculty with the skills and knowledge to become more effective faculty mentors. Topics of the workshop series will include the value/benefits of mentoring, organizational culture, social identity, appreciative mentoring and mentoring goals.

The ML-FLC will meet virtually and synchronously on Microsoft Teams for six, 80-minute sessions on the following schedule:

  • Second and fourth Thursday/month (beginning on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026)
  • 12:30 – 1:50 p.m.

The ML-FLC is sponsored by the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. The 2025 – 2026 program will be led by Dr. Dwan Robinson (Professor, Educational Studies) and co-convened with Dr. Dianne Gut-Zippert (Professor, Teacher Education) and Dr. Peter Mather (Professor, Counseling and Higher Education).
