OHIO community invited to Teachable Tuesdays lectures

All members of the Ohio University community are invited to the Teachable Tuesdays Lecture Series during the spring semester.

Held at the Academic Engagement Center at 29 Park Place, the lecture series is presented by the Ohio University Department of African American Studies. All students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to the upcoming events. 

Tuesday, Feb. 10 – Dr. Jocelyn Brown will discuss “Back Love as Resistance,” from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

Tuesday, March 24 – Dr. Brian Stephens will give a presentation on “The Searchers for Purity Amongst Sinners: A Discussion of Ryan Coogler’s ‘Sinners,’” from 4-5:30 p.m.

Tuesday, April 14 – Dr. Uzoma Miller will discuss “Dismantling Detonated Psyches: Black Americans, Caribbean Islanders and Continental Africans Confront Self-Hate Exhibited Towards One Another,” from 4-5:30 p.m.

Light refreshments will be provided at the lectures.
