Lazaroff Memorial Lecture to feature Dr. Joanna Sliwa on March 24
The Ohio University History Department in the College of Arts and Sciences will host the annual Lazaroff Memorial Lecture in Jewish history on Tuesday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in Baker University Center 240/242.
The speaker for the lecture will be Dr. Joanna Sliwa, who will discuss "Widening the Lens: The Holocaust from the Perspective of Jewish Children and Older Adults." A pre-lecture reception will begin at 6 p.m.
Dr. Sliwa is a historian of the Holocaust and modern Polish Jewish history, and she works at the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference). She is the author of the award-winning book “Jewish Childhood in Kraków: A Microhistory of the Holocaust,”(Rutgers University Press, 2021).
