Ohio University to honor faculty members with recognition and awards ceremony on March 25

All Ohio University students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to the 2026 Faculty Recognition and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, March 25.

The event will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. in the Baker Center Ballroom. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The ceremony will honor faculty members who have received awards for teaching, research, service and other significant contributions to Ohio University in the last year.

The awards to be presented include:

• Chairs & Directors Emerging Leader Award
• Community Engaged Faculty Award
• Emerging Presidential Research Scholars Awards
• Mid-American Conference Outstanding Faculty Award for Student Success
• Rising Star Teacher Award
• Provost Award for Excellence in Service
• Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching
• Presidential Service Award 
• Presidential Teacher Award
• Presidential Research Scholars Awards
• University Professor Awards

In addition, faculty development program leaders and participants, as well as Faculty Newsmakers will be recognized during the program. All members of the University community are encouraged to attend to celebrate these faculty award recipients.
